A Hermiston-area man was arrested Wednesday morning on ten criminal charges related to an attempt to elude in the Hermiston area that ended after Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers pinned the car in and chased the driver down on foot. The suspect was arrested after resisting troopers, one of which was examined at a local hospital for possible injury.

According to OSP Sergeant Seth Cooney, on April 13, 2011 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Cooney attempted to stop a 2004 Chrysler for a traffic violation. The driver, later identified as JOSUE A. SANCHEZ MUNOZ, age 26, from Hermiston, failed to yield and applied his brakes several times in an attempt to have OSP collide with his car. During the next 20 minutes, SANCHEZ MUNOZ attempted to elude at slow speeds in the Hermiston and surrounding area as two other troopers joined Cooney in trying to stop the car.

As the car drove along Highway 207, it crossed the centerline appearing to collide with oncoming traffic several times before SANCHEZ MUNOZ made a u-turn near milepost 3. Troopers were able to slow his car and pinned it against the highway shoulder.

SANCHEZ MUNOZ fled the car on foot but was overtaken by the troopers. He resisted arrest briefly before troopers took him into custody.

SANCHEZ MUNOZ was driving with a suspended license. He was lodged in the Umatilla County Jail on the following charges:

* Felony Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle
* Attempted Assault in the First Degree
* Attempted Assault in the Second Degree
* Misdemeanor Attempt to Elude on Foot
* Recklessly Endangering Another Person
* Menacing

* Assaulting a Public Safety Officer

Huerta-Castillo was also given traffic citations for Speeding (139 mph), Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured, and No Motorcycle Endorsement.

Portland Police Bureau – 04/10/11

Last night, Saturday April 9, 2011, at approximately 10:55 p.m., a Portland Police Bureau Traffic Division officer spotted an orange motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on eastbound I-84. The officer got behind the motorcycle and eventually stopped it near Northeast 148th Avenue on I-84 after the motorcycle rider briefly attempted to elude the police.

Deputies took twenty year old Dane Donaghy, into custody at the residence. Donaghy was charged with one count of Murder and was lodged at Northern Oregon Regional Corrections in The Dalles.

Investigators, in conjunction with the Hood River County District Attorney’s Office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Solorio’s death. An autopsy at the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s office is scheduled for Monday, April 11, 2011.

trooper’s traffic stop south of Sutherlin when approximately 2 lbs of methamphetamine was found inside their vehicle. OSP Drug Enforcement Section detectives are conducting the follow up investigation.

On April 8, 2011 at about 5:45 p.m. an OSP Trooper stopped a 1998 Pontiac passenger car displaying Washington license plates for a traffic violation southbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 132. The two occupants were identified as driver PEDRO LARES, age 30, from Everett, Washington, and passenger NORBERTO TORRES VALDOVINOS, age 25, from Redwood City, California.

Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop led to the discovery of approximately two pounds of methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Both men were arrested and lodged in the Douglas County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Delivery of Methamphetamine.

Roseburg Police Department assisted in the investigation.

In what turned into a three-ring circus, an Ohio woman threatened to blow up a school. Instead, she dropped her pants and pooped near the front door in a vulgar display of her displeasure.

What induced 33-year-old Pamela Jones to unleash the bowels of wrath upon the unsuspecting school? She wanted in, but they told her to leave.

The police report states that on Tuesday, she approached Taft IT High School and demanded to be let in. When school officials told her to leave, she told the students present that she was going to blow up the building.

Instead, she took a dump at the front door.

Now Jones is charged with inciting panic and criminal trespass, and is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. It’s surprising she isn’t being charged with assault with a deadly excrement.

No one knows exactly why Ms. Jones demanded to be let in, but a good guess would be she desperately needed a bathroom.

The students at Taft had just moved into the new facility on Tuesday, which is 103,000 square feet. In the last decade, Taft has gained quite a reputation at academic excellence after turning around performance.

The students certainly won’t let a party-pooper like Jones ruin their excitement over the new building.

We go to the Dominican Republic 2-3 times a year, small grass roots ministry, we have a new pentecostal church that is just starting up in our little village where we have built a primary school 6 years a go and are in need of bibles.

The dollar store bibles are to small of print and are looking for some bibles to take with us.

 a near fatal wreck we had over there this last time as a vehicle we were in lost its brakes going down a hill at 45 mph and flipped with 10 people in it

McMinnville Police arrest alleged shooter from weekend shootings

Press Release Update:
On April 6th, 2011, McMinnville detectives arrested one individual involved in the drive by shootings at two McMinnville residences on April 2nd. They also arrested Carisa Lynn Botello, of McMinnville, for her efforts to protect the suspect and attempting to recover the evidence before the police found it. Detectives have also recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the two shootings. The male suspect, Jairo Estrada Velazquez, of McMinnville was in custody from unrelated incidents and was charged today for his involvement in this shooting incident.

Previous Releases regarding this incident:

McMinnville Police Department Officers responded to the area of NE 9th Ave and Logan on April 2nd, 2011 when a caller reported at about 11:00 pm that someone fired a weapon with at least one bullet striking the complainant’s residence. Upon arriving at this location officers confirmed the residence had been hit by gunfire. There were several people in the residence at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured. The bullet came to rest approximately two feet from two young children on a bed.

The suspect vehicle in this incident was described as a red or gold smaller sport utility vehicle with two occupants.

Approx 15 minutes later at 19th and Adams, a caller reported that they had heard some loud noises and heard glass breaking in their apartment. Upon arriving at this location officers confirmed the residence had been hit by gunfire. The house was occupied at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured.

There are several leads we are pursuing and the investigation is on-going at this time. Initial indications are that the two shootings are probably connected and gang related. McMinnville Police Department was assisted in this investigation by both Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police.
